The Winter Term is more than half way over and we only have T minus four weeks until graduation!
Below is my process work so far for my Graphic Design 5 class, Identity and Branding.
Graphic Design 5: Identity and Branding
I am creating a branding and identity for Thailand, beginning with logo design. We have moved on to choosing color palettes as well as beginning to design our branding book.
Below I have pictures of my process so far, from logo to the thumbnails of the branding book.

Two of my developed logos that I chose to go with were a wordmark logo and a combination logo.

I ultimately decided to go with the Wordmark logo and to develop it further. I chose to go with curvy lines and swirls because Thailand culture is heavily influenced by these shapes.

As you can see, I pushed the logo even further, adding a serif to the "T" to give it the same feel as the rest of the letters (should have thought of that earlier!) and simplified the dots from five to three, which will be easier to see when it gets scaled down.
I wanted to recreate the dots in my visual element, which will be repeated throughout the book, so they would stand out and be more noticeable. Thailand culture is very bright, bold, and beautiful which is why I chose these colors for the palette.
Stay tuned for when I have the Branding Book completed!
