Woodstock Neighborhood Logo

Well, this is it! This is the final product of my logo for the Woodstock Neighborhood! Our class has spent most of the term working on this (and other side projects), and now we have a week to work on our Neighborhood Events Poster (Yikes!). My poster is designed for the beginning of a Community Garden in the Woodstock Neighborhood (it's so fitting!), and there's so much to do! Especially when they're due in a week and a half...
Anyway, back to the logo. I'd like to know your thoughts and feelings on the design of this. Is it working? Is it not working? What could I do to improve this? How do you feel about the colors? What kind of "mood" are you getting from the image? Please let me know, as all constructive criticism is appreciated. :)

  1. It feels twilight-y to me (in the time-of-day sense, not the vampire sense), which I like. :)

  2. I like the colors a lot, very warm and inviting! It invokes a feeling of family-friendly, green spaces, established community. Perhaps the swing set/children icon could be a bit smaller? It's a bit close to the horizon, and looks a bit crowded there. Love the framing with the tree and lamppost! Good work

  3. Corey likes the swingset/people icon, but suggests a slightly lighter shade so it's not so imposing (threatening?).

  4. Yeah i definitely think the colors could use a little tweaking, the contrast between the sing and the background is a little stressful. Also, did you try other fonts (I dunno I feel like that lampost might be crowding the text...)?
